There was no doubt Simone Vitangeli would be part of the Tuscania roster for a fourth consecutive season. Simone, who’s one of the fans’ favourites, helped the club climb up from the B1 division in 2014 thanks to his character and fighting spirit. He has not been one of the main guys during the two years in the Serie A2 but every time he was called he showed all his love for the Tuscania shirt, like against Alessano or when he scored 12 points and 4 blocks against Ortona.
“I had told the managerial staff I wanted to stay from the end of last season, it was just a case of them needing to sort other things out first – explained Vitangeli – I have always identified with the colours of Tuscania ever since I was a kid. I’ve been taught here how to play and love this amazing sport and I never forgot that even when I was playing for other Italian clubs. I have received so much from Tuscania and I think I gave something important back too, so I couldn’t be happier to wear this shirt for another season”.
