Vacondio new sport director

Otreste Vacondio, who obtained promotion from the Serie A2 to the SuperLega and then guided Monza as head coach in the elite for two years, will now become the Sport Director of the club. The agreement becomes effective today, which means Francesco Cattaneo will take over the first team until the end of the season, with Massimo Dagioni as assistant coach. “Right now, I believe to be easier to find a leader for the first team, for which there are quality and qualified coaches that we’re evaluating rather than find a coordinator with the quality of Oreste Vacondio to head such an ambitious project” said President Alessandra Marzari. “This is nothing unexpected as this is a change that we had been planning months ago. The fact that we have forwarded this change is only due to the not perfect physical conditions from which Vacondio has been suffering”.
