Tuscania got off to a strong start in Tricase and led two nil before letting Alessano back in it. In the first two sets, only Jeliazkov (28 points) seemed to be able to go through Tuscania’s blocking hands. The visitors were so dominant that the third set seemed to be a formality but it turned out to be different. Tuscania started to make mistakes in reception while the hosts started to loosen up and play their game. In the tie-break however, Tuscania regained control but taking only two points means they wasted an opportunity to move up the ranks. Instead, they remain in fifth place but the road record remains impressive with 7 wins in 9 trips. Only Vibo Valentia has done better away from home.
