While four players have been extended (Dolfo, Silva, Bevilacqua and Kody), Reggio Emilia has just signed its second new player. After setter Pietro Soli, in comes Marco Norbedo. Born in 1996 in Trieste, 197cm tall, the middle blocker spent last season in Brescia in the Serie A2. Initially in Trieste’s youth ranks, he was soon noticed by Treviso and joined its youth academy. He was individualized as one of the main Italian prospects at a young age and after two seasons in the B2 divisions he made the jump in the Serie A2 last season. He played a total of 26 games (99 sets) and scored 155 points.

“I can’t wait to come to Reggio – said Norbedo – This is a huge opportunity and I have a great feeling. The first contact with the club was very positive. My goal will be to improve as much as I can and make it into the top five. The difference between the B2 division and the A2 is really big so last season in Brescia was crucial for me. But I think I can handle this level and I want to prove it even more in Reggio. I was lucky to be able to learn a lot from Alberto Cisolla last season and I will try to put everything he taught me into practice”.
