Molfetta signed Bogdan Olteanu. Last season, the Rumanian spiker born in 1981 received the applause of the Brazilian fans as he helped Sada Cruzeiro to the league final. He already played in Italy from 2004 to 2008 with Gioia del Colle, Coriglian, Modugno and Bassano. This was the beginning of his career, then he had more important experiences in Spain with Almeria, where he the national cup twice, and France with Tours, where he won the cup as well. His next stop was Argentina, where he conquered the title four years in a row with San Juan, as well as the South American club championships and three Aclav Cups.

“I think this is the best choice for me to remain at a high level – said Olteanu – Coming back to the SuperLega 12 years on is a personal challenge too. I consider the A1 as one of the most competitive leagues and Molfetta has done well in recent years. We’re talking about an ambitious club, who’s always aiming higher. I’ve already played in the Apulia region and I enjoyed it. I like the people, the food, the fans are “on fire” if we can say so. I have many friends in the south I’m looking forward to see and I think this is the best decision for me and my family”.
