President Molteni: “Excellent season”

Cantù’s season ended on Wednesday night in the playoffs quarter-finals Game 2 in Vibo Valentia. Time for President Ambrogio Molteni to look back on the year gone by: “This has been a season full of satisfaction, in which we reached our two targets: take part in the Italian Cup and the league playoffs for the third consecutive year. Let’s not forget that this year there were 14 teams, not 12, and all with improved rosters. In the meantime, we had built a younger team to plan the future. We have always had a good number of fans following us, the average has increased compared to last season. And this is an important and promising fact, meaning the area keeps having a great interest for our team. I take the opportunity to thank the boys for playing all thirty games with passion and devotion, and I thank the coaching staff as well as everybody working at the club doing everything possible to limit the stress that such a demanding championship that made us travel all over the country brings. Now we will plan out our fifth season in the A2, something that we’d probably never have thought possible a few years ago”.
