Disappointed to be out of the playoffs, Romagna will however prepare the last game against Milan as well as possible before the post season and the Challenge Cup playoffs.
“We played another good game against Modena – said vice coach Giuseppe Patriarca – We often had good games against the top teams this season. Last year we used to be easily brushed aside but this season we played without fear and made everybody work hard. We went very close to the tie-break against Modena and I think the fans enjoyed a good game. Now, Sunday’s game is really important for us for two reasons: we want to finish ninth, and we want to keep playing as well as we’ve done in recent outings. Having missed out on the playoffs is definitely not positive and the boys know it. But they also know they did their very best. Now we’ll start a new championship and we have a chance to turn things around because in the Challenge Cup playoffs, there won’t be the top teams unless big teams get upset in the league playoffs quarter-finals”.
