Molfetta and Pier Paolo Partenio had been wanting to be together for a long time. The deal is finally done and they’re ready to play this season together. Born in 1993, Partenio came up in the Civitanova youth ranks before playing his last two seasons at Potenza Picena. Last season, he was the second scorer among setters with 84 as he showed his skills at the net: 35 blocks, no other setter could match this.
“Molfetta followed me ever since I left the youth academy – he explained – Every year, I had a call from the sport director. This year, he showed even more interest, the club proved they believed in me. This is exactly the kind of attitude I was looking for. Potenza represented my first year out, and it was amazing for me and in terms of results of the team. Nobody expected that breakthrough. We won the A2 with an Under 23 team. It was unreal”. Then he talked about the future: “Trains only pass once in life, this is a great opportunity for me”.
