Angelo Lorenzetto was officially unveiled as new Trentino head coach. Many were the journalists to cover the news as well as experts and supporters. “As a former opponent I have to say I received a really nice welcome, I really want to thank everyone – said Lorenzetti – This is an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down. I am a lucky person and a lucky coach because it’s not very often that you get to find a job that quickly, and in such an important, competitive and professional club like Trento. I will give everything I have from day one in order to make sure the club stays at the top. The possibility to take over the Trentino bench came about a lot of time after the end of last season. The first contact occurred very recently and we found an agreement in no time. We’re only at the start of July but we already have most of the players we need. We keep an eye on the market but I’d say the identity of our group is already defined. I’ll try to bring my style, meaning that my first mission will be to be useful to the players and listen to them so that we can quickly have a good feeling. I like the fact that this club has worked well and keep investing on the youth academy, one of my tasks will also be to monitor all the young players that Trentino Volley brought up in its youth department and who are gaining experience all around Italy in the SuperLega and Serie A2. It would be nice to add a couple more players who came up in Trentino’s youth academy”.
