It’s been an intense month of July for Latina which has been in the elite of Italian volleyball for 15 years. There has been the registration request into the SuperLega 2015-16, the appointment of new head coach Vincenzo Nacci and then the building of the new roster with contract extensions and new faces.
“Once again this year, we did our very best to keep offering to the city and region a team that can have a say in the top division – said owner Luigi Goldner – We are extremely proud of this but at the same time this represent a huge effort for us every year”.
And sport director Candido Grande said about the team: “We began the summer with the contract extensions of Gabriele Maruotti and Daniele Sottile, our two players who have been selected with the Italian national team, useless to say we’re very proud of that. We kept Andrea Rossi too, he turned out to be a top quality middle blocker. We also brought in Alessandro Fei, outside hitter who won just about everything. In December, at the end of his studies, the young star spiker of the Japanese national team, Yuki Ishikawa, will come in too. Now we are negotiating with other players, some new additions should be announced very soon”.
