Modena won the friendly game 4-0 but Romagna played an overall good game. Van Garderen had a good performance on his come-back with 14 points and 45% (3 blocks, 2 aces). On Saturday, Romagna will play host to Monza in Forlì.

“It’s a shame, we might have been able to get a better result because except for the first set the rest of the encounter was pretty tight – said sport director Stefano Margutti – We lacked that little extra consistency, especially on the serve, to put more pressure on our opponents. Every time we manage to get a couple of good run of serves, the result immediately come, but unfortunately we’re inconsistent in that area”.
