In a third consecutive tie-break, Montecchio Maggiore finally got the victory. Marconi’s men had a very poor start to the game but then they stepped up a gear to take the second and third set. The fourth was a carbon copy of the Grottazzolina match, with its missed opportunities. But this time, they found a way in the decisive fifth set to get a win that had been eluding since october 16.

« It seemed like a curse – said Giglioli – Not the fifth but the fourth set. We could have sealed it first again, just like two weeks ago but instead we made things harder for ourselves. But this time we got away with the win thanks to our fighting spirit. Next Saturday we have a tough one in Spoleto, against one of the favourites to go up, but it should not serve as excuse. Everybody wants to hit hard and win, including ourselves ».
