A qualification tournament for the European Championships Under 20 will take place in Naples from Thursday 31 March to Sunday 3 April. Italy was drawn in Group B with Portugal, Spain and Sweden. The toughest test seems to be against Spain, who has had a great tradition over the last few years at youth level. The winner of the group will directly qualify for the European Championships that will take place in Bulgaria from September 2 to September 10. The second (just like the other seven groups) and the best third classified will have to go through a third qualification tournament from July 7 to 10.
