This weekend, Barisciani’s men will play on Saturday night in Cantù. Mondovì currently stands in 11th place, sixth points behind Cantù, seventh. Earlier this season, Mondovì had come out on top on a 3-1 score led by the 26 points of outside hitter Francesco De Luca (23 spikes, 3 blocks). Michele Parusso had shined too with seven blocks. Everybody should be fit to play but we still don’t know if the transfer of the Australian Nathan Roberts will have gone through on time.

“Cantù has the same team as in our first encounter – said coach Barisciani – Even if they have had a different season than us so far as they did not concede a long series of defeats like us, at the end of the day, only two wins separates the two sides. We are two similar teams in terms of quality and flaws, so hopefully this will be a long game. I don’t think it will end up in a sweep”.
