Potenza has already announced it would keep the middle blockers Lorenzo Codarin and Omar Biglino, and now they extended the contract of Mirco Cristofaletti. Born in 1996 in Trento, 195cm tall, he has great character for such a young athlete. Next season, the back-up outside hitter will move to the wing. In 2015-16, every time he was called on to substitute Federico Moretti, he did a great job, he boasted his fundamentals, showed character and composure on the serve. Cristofalletti comes from a family who loves sport and he played volleyball from 7 years old, while he joined the Trentino youth academy at 13. He won the Italian title Under 19 and the Junior League before moving to Potenza.

“I did not expect to play that much in the league – said Mirco – I am satisfied with my performances. I did not hesitate to sign again for Potenza. My experiences in the youth academy cannot be compared with the tight battles of the Serie A2. I think I grew up a lot in and out of the court in just a few months. This will be a transition year for me because I’ll play as a spiker, a useful change for the future, we agreed on that with coach Di Pinto, with whom I got along from the very beginning”.
