Trentino’s last friendly was a brilliant 3-0 victory in Padova. The new coach enjoyed some sharp serving from his players (8 aces, with Urnaut standing out). They were also excellent in attack (57%) with a good distribution from Giannelli who kept everybody in rhythm, like Van de Voorde who had 5 of 5 and was valuable at the net in spite of not registering any direct block. Antonov and Lanza shined as well.

« I am satisfied with the way the boys played and were focused in the first two sets – said Lorenzetti – Padova has a young but talented team, they will surely get better, so this is definitely an encouraging result. I decided to use Van De Voorde straight away to see him and I have to say he looked in good shape. This is an important addition for the team ».
