Spectacular game between Sora and Padova in the Friday night encounter. Emotional too with a tie-break for the hosts to seal it. Two important points, while the hosts will be disappointed to come out on the losing end in spite of leading twice. This is a third consecutive win for Bagnoli’s men while Padova conceded a second straight defeat. Padova had to deal with its former player, Mattia Rosso, who was at his usual best. Besides, all the other Sora spikers were on song too, with Miskevich named MVP and Gotsev the king of the net with 6 blocks. Kalinin proved super effective too with 69%.

In spite of a set gifted to their opponents, the joy of the two points taken in this difficult encounter prevails. Thanks to our jump serve, there were some opportunities for Gotsev who’s been imperial at the net as well as on the serve. Kalinin gave us incredible balance too. It was not his best evening but Miskevich greatly contributed to the victory. I have to congratulate the boys because it’s really been a good game ».
