The 14 SuperLega teams have all begun their new season at the same time last weekend. But one of the novelties this season will be the Friday night game. The first one will put face to face Ravenna and Latina.
Led by coach fabio Soli, Ravenna could not grab any point from its league opener against Padova (0-3). They will be eager to bounce back from what setter Spirito called ‘a lesson for the future’. Latina was another of the disappointed teams of this first round, beaten home in straight sets by Verona. Coach Nacci would have liked a different result for his debut on the Latina bench but he remains confident in a group that has a big margin for improvement. One more ace would make it 500 in regular season for Alessandro Fei.

We’ll face a difficult opponent to read because one of their main men, Fei, was not used much so far. I’d like to see my team play like in pre-season, play simple but with maximum effort and consistency. This is a tricky game, we’ll have to play at our best to give our fans a first victory in our Pala De André arena ».
Daniele Sottile (Top Volley Latina): “The game against Ravenna will be an important one for us because we’re coming off a severe 3-0 defeat in our own house, even if it is only the beginning of the season and there’s still a lot of time ahead to work.
