2017 CEV Champions League
Gala and draw in Rome

 

One of those special days tomorrow in Rome. Not only for the inauguration of the new Federation offices but also for the CEV Gala in which the new European season will officially be launched. No less than 200 special guests will be there to assist to the draw of the Champions League. The Gala will be braodcasted on live streaming on Laola1.tv from 8pm.

There will be three Italian teams in the starting blocks of the competition: Modena Volley, Cucine Lube Civitanova and Sir Safety-Sicoma Perugia.

There are 12 seeded teams already qualified for the fourth round (group stage). They have been chosen according to their national ranking based on recent seasons in European competitions.

The other 24 teams will go through two knock-out rounds before the group stage, with home and away games. Eight teams will come out of these preliminary rounds and they will join the 12 seeded teams and make it the “magnificient 20’ in the famous League Round.
