Vibo Valentia defeated Sora on the road to take a 2-0 lead in the Final series of the Serie A2 Playoffs UnipolSai. The visitors won the game in four sets and are now just one win away from being promoted in the SuperLega.
The hosts had the early initiatives but led by an inspired Michalovic Vibo came back in the nick of time to clinch it 25-23. Things were much easier in the second set for Mastrangelo’s men in spite of a sudden reaction halfway through the set from Sora (18-25). Soli’s men bounced back in the third as Mattia Rosso and co kept a firm grip on matters at the end of the set (21-19 then 25-21). In the fourth set, the hosts found themselves trailing 17-21, they came back strong to tie it at 23 but that was no more than a little hope for the fans as Michalovic eventually found the winning spike (24-26), which was confirmed by the Video Check.
