A sold-out PalaPanini (5054 fans) welcomed the entertainment of the playoffs final Game 1. Perugia strugggled in reception as Russell was not as brilliant as in the semi-finals. As for the yellows, they looked extremely solid, there was no mercy from the serve (14 aces) and they also showed maximum composure to come back from behind when they were trailing.
Angelo Lorenzetti (coach DHL Modena): “As far as I’m concerned this series has not begun yet. We have won but we have not done anything yet. On Thursday we’ll travel to Perugia and we’ll play against a team that proved it could be unstoppable against Civitanova”.
Slobodan Kovac (coach Sir Safety Conad Perugia): “We did not play that well. We lacked composure in the important moments of the game. But this is only the beginning of the series, and on Thursday we’ll have the opportunity to tie it at 1-1”.

A Vibo Valentia express ran over Sora in the opening encounter of the Serie A2 playoffs final, in which there is a place in the SuperLega at stake. Even when the visitors built a little gap, Mstrangelo’s men looked solid and likely to regain control. In the end, they needed just three sets to take the lead in the series behind 21 points from an outstanding Michalovic.
