Hernandez wins Gazzetta award 2016
;olfetta’s outside hitter, Fernando Hernandez Ramos, won the prestigious award from the nationa sport paper, the Gazzetta award, which was thought out by journalist Carlo Gobbi in 1973. The Gazzetta award goes to the best player of the regulr season according to the points given in each games by the journalists and collaborators of “La Gazzetta dello Sport”.
Each player receives 1 to 6 points. The Cuban outside hitter finished first with 87 total points ahead of Kovacevic (84), Atanasijevic (82), Juantorena (80), Vettori (71), Sander and Djuric (65), Lucas (61), Torres (59), Bruno and De Cecco (58).
He will receive his award on Sunday 13 March when Molfetta plays host to Trento in the playoffs quarter-finals Game 2.
