In the last game of Round 14 on Monday night, Padova dominated Piacenza and won it 3-0. The hosts built their triumph on some good serve, attack and reception. Piacenza did a good job blocking but that was too little to get something out of this encounter. MVP: Gonzalo Quiroga (Tonazzo Padova).

Santiago Orduna (Tonazzo Padova): “That is a crucial win for us, which allows us to get closer to Monza and move up in the ranks. We played to perfection, made very few mistakes and we made their reception difficult. We have eight games left in the regular season, but if we play with that kind of quality and intensity, reaching the 8th place is not an impossible task”.

Alberto Giuliani (coach LPR Piacenza): “Tonight, Padova played very well on its strengths. They alternated serves hit hard and the floaters, which got our reception struggling. Congratulations to them but we have been incredibly poor too. How to get out of this crisis? Hard work, that’s the only way”.
