“Bovo Day” 2016
On January in Montichiari, the Italian National team will take on “Bovo’s friends” in memory of the champion Vigor Bovolenta who prematurely passed away on March 24, 2012.
Besides paying tribute to “Bovo”, the event aims at raising awareness on the importance of defibrillators and how to use it. All the takings will be used to buy defibrillators and give it to volleyball clubs and schools.
The event is organised by the Provincial Fipav Committee of Verona and Brescia, and is promoted by the men and women’s Serie A as well as Bovo’s friends, many Italian and foreign volleyball stars that have known and played with Vigor.
The match will be live on Gazzetta TV from 5.30pm. There will also be a special celebration of Mini Volley, the veteran challenge and the Serie A1 women’s game of Metalleghe Sanitars Montichiari.
