Verona is about to experience its first European final of the club’s history. The first leg of the Challenge Cup is indeed scheduled this Sunday against Fakel Novy Urengoy. The Russians are currently fourth of their national league.

“We’re playing this final against an excellent team – said coach Andrea Giani – They are young, physically strong and they have some talented players. It will be exciting, there will be all the emotions of a final and against a quality Russian side. We really want to give hundred percent from the get-go and make the most of our home game. We began this project three years ago. We began to put it all down and program and that made the difference, it’s been a great journey. The club structure and the sport planning has been well implemented, and that allowed us to make strides forward. And today here we are in a European cup final, which is a the reward of all the sacrifices”.
