After a year out, Trento is back among the seven best teams in Europe. The Italians qualified for the Champions League Playoffs 6 thanks to a comfortable 3-0 home win over the Belgium side of Asse-Lennik, which added up to the 3-2 road win of the first leg. The hosts had another top performance at the net with 13 blocks with Van de Voorde collecting 7 on his own (he was named MVP), while Solé had 3. There was also Giannelli’s composure and clever distribution, as well as the effective job done by Colaci and Uranaut.

“This is a very important result for the club – said coach Radostin Stoytchev – The situation was not easy but we deservedly made it through to the Playoffs 6. Considering all the problems we had to face of late, this is an excellent result. I am extremely satisfied because this is a team that could absolutely not be underestimated”.
