Two important news for Cantù. First of all the club signed Paolo Alborghetti. Born in 1987 in Bergamo, the middle blocker came up in Bergamo’s youth ranks and he’s coming off two excellent seasons at Tuscania and Civita Castellana in the Serie A2.
“I have been wanting to come to Cantù for a long time – said Alborghetti – Years ago, I played with Ubi Gerosa and I really enjoyed it and I know other players as well. I noticed that the excitement keeps building up all the time in Cantù, especially in the past season when the gym was always packed. When I got the call, I did not hesitate one second. I know I’ll substitute a great player like Gabriele Robbiati but hopefully, I’ll be up to the task.
The club also count on middle blocker Federico Mazza, who was extended for another season. “He’s a young player, last season he made a lot of progress and this year he will be able to contribute even more significantly”.
