The CEV Cup challenge round draw was carried out this morning in Luxembourg. Perugia will have to overcome Dinamo Moscow to make its way to the semi-finals. The Russian army is coming down from the Champions League. The first leg will be in Italy between the 16 and 18 of February, the return leg in Russia between 1 and 3 March. The team to go through will take on the winner of Lugano (Switzerland) versus Surgut, the other Russian squad.

“We have definitely drawn the strongest team of the eight left – said sport director Goran Vujevic – But to be honest, if we have the ambition to win the competition, at one point or another, we would have had to face them. It’s obvious that it will be two very tough games against the holders, and they’ll be keen to make the double. And to make it even harder, they’ll have the return game at home. But we’re eager to do well, we believe in ourselves and hopefully we’ll have everybody fit. This is crucial”.
