Assistant coach Nicola Baldon and the scout Alberto Salmaso will remain in the coaching staff for the new season. “We are all used to work together in the coaching staff – said Baldon who helped the club win the Italian Cup A2, earn promotion in the Superlega and then make it in the playoffs – On the other hand we’ll have a lot of new players and young ones. This means there will be a lot of positive energy on court, energy to bring in training too. Having young players means you have to train them, you’re not limited to take care of the group. You have to dedicate a lot of time to training. But seeing the progress of the athletes is the positive side of the job here in Padova”. As for Salmaso he did not hide his ambition: “I was first a player, now a scout and in the future I would love to coach”.
