Coach Alessandro Spanakis had his heart divided between Italy and Peru for two months this summer. He is back in Italy with a big smile ready to prepare Civita Castellana for its coming Serie A2 challenge following his breakthrough in the Women World Championship U18. Indeed, he helped Italy become world champion for the first time in its history. The team lost only two sets on the way and swept the USA in the final. Egonu and co have totally dominated the competition. Coach Spanakis will now have a few days for himself before the team gathers for the first time on September 2. The league first round is scheduled on October 25 against Vibo Valentia.
