Castellana had grabbed seven points in the last three games but its winning streak ended on Sunday away against Tuscania (0-3). Fanizza’s men will be disappointed with the many set points wasted in the first set. Still, this was precisely in that first set that Castellana was at its best, coming back from 21-17 down and only surrendering 32-30.
“I cannot be happy with the final outcome – said coach Fanizza – But we played at their level for at least two sets. They are third in the table so I am disappointed but don’t have that much regrets. We did not play too bad at all, but we lacked experience in a gym that pushed the home side and against a very competitive team with a quality setter and outside hitter”.
