The two new Verona players, Sasha Starovic and Uros Kovacvevic, have helped Serbia qualify to the World League final by beating the USA of Taylor Sander 3-2. Serbia took a 2-0 (25-23. 25-21) lead before wasting a few opportunities in the third. The USA took full advantage and got back in it (27-25, 25-20). The Northern Americans took a 10-7 lead in the tie-break when Starovic came on for Okolic. And he proved crucial in the clutch time. Serbia fought back and he scored the 13-12 as well as the winning point at 15-13. Kovacevic had 18 points. Sander had 17 for the USA. Starovic had 2, but big ones. The final is scheduled on Sunday at 4.30pm.
