Calzedonia Verona announced the signing of Bartosz Bucko. Born on January 6, 1995, the Polish spiker agreed to a two-year deal. Back in his home country, he played all his early life with Bielsko-Biala, where he had taken up the sport at the age of 9. Bucko finished top scorer of the European Championships Under 19 in 2013 and was named best spiker of the competition as he helped his side clinch a silver medal. That same year, he got a bronze medal in the World Championships, which was followed by another silver in 2014 at the European Championships Under 20. There again, he was the top scorer. He made his debut in the top division in Poland in 2013-14.
