Treia’s new libero will be Jenia Grebennikov. After the signings of spiker Osmany Juantorena and US setter Christenson, the club announced another great addition with the French player. In spite of his young age (born 1990), Jenia already has some experience on the international scene. He played his last two seasons in the German league at Friedrichshafen, while he was previously wearing the colors of his home town at Rennes. Jenia has Russians origins and followed the footsteps of his father Boris. He made his mark in the World Championships 2014 in Poland with the French national team. Among his honors, there is German league title 2015 and two German cups 2014 and 2015.
“Wearing the Treia shirt will be a fantastic experience – said Grebennikov who is currently playing in the World League with France – I will be surrendered by top quality players, this will be my first time in Italy and I really want to do well. I couldn’t be more motivated, we’ll play for big prizes with the Champions League and league title at stake. I had good experiences in France and Germany and now I feel ready to play for a team like Treia”.
