Good game at the PalaSassi in which Matera managed to keep up with Reggio for most of the game despite having to deal with missing players before surrendering in the fifth set. Indeed, Matera had to make do without two starting spikers, Matej Cernic (knee) and Vittorio Suglia (Flu).
“We went close to make the breakthrough and win a game in which I had to invent a new starting line-up just a few hour before the start – explained coach Mastrangelo – The flu hit my captain Suglia, out, and I had to move my boys to positions that is not theirs. Still, I am satisfied with the game we played”.
