Siena announced the signing of outside hitter Vincenzo Tamburo, traded from Castellana Grotte where he ended last season and began the new one. Funnily enough, the news comes just before the clash between the two teams, scheduled on Saturday 21. Born in Empoli in 1985, this move will allow him to be closer to his family. Tamburo made his pro debut in 2004 and played 3 years in the A1 and 8 in the A2 since. He played for Treviso, Padova, Perugia and Cantù just to name a few. He won the Junior League with Treviso, the A2 Cup with Santa Croce, the A2 league with Perugia as well as the Mediterranean Games with the Italian national team.

“I am thrilled to have this excellent opportunity given by President Bisogno and Siena – he said – This is an important move for me be that on a personal or professional level. Besides, Siena is a very professional club that always manages to achieve great things”.
