An outstanding performance from Luis Fernando (27 points) and a telling contribution from all the other players meant Matera came back from Corigliano with a superb 3-1 victory. Andres Villena fueled the attack too with 17 points, while the reception and dig was more than satisfactory.

Credit to the meticulous work done in training, and the fact we kept at it even when results were not coming our way. I think we really didn’t get much wrong against Corigliano, who has an excellent roster and is not surprisingly standings towards the top of the table”.
