Sport director Salvucci has left his mark at Potenza. Last year, some talented youngsters learnt the game alongside a couple of experienced guys and won the league. This year, they have kept the same coaching staff and 5 champions, while seven players were brought in. The team is even younger than last year but the will to win and excitement is even bigger. The performances in the friendly games have been positive but the regular season will begin with a very tough one on Saturday 24 against Siena.
“The league debut is always a trip into the unknown – said Salvucci – Even more so for such a young group like ours. Doing well in friendly games is one thing but when there are points at stake it’s a different matter. And Siena is one of the strongest teams in the league. But I am confident. The boys have worked hard and they’re improving every day. We have some talent, the boys have a good competitive spirit and a big margin for improvement”.
