While his teammates are enjoying the Christmas break. Milan’s spiker Todor Skrimov is currently with the Bulgarian national team and will soon fly to Berlin, Germany, for a pre-Olympic qualification tournament. Outside hitter Danail Milushev remained in Italy but he’s been inserted in a 22-men list and could join his teammates in the next few days.
Thanks yo his second place in the World Cup last September, Italy is already qualified for Rio 2016. Bulgaria, like other teams such as Germany, Poland, Serbia, Russia, France Belgium or Finland, still have to fight for their place in the coveted competition.
Here are the groups of the tournament:
Group A: Germany, Poland, Serbia, Belgium
Group B: Russia, Bulgaria, France, Finland
The top two teams of each group will go through to the semi-finals. The group winners will take on the second classified teams of the other group.
