Latina signed Alen Sket. The Slovenian spiker has already made a name for himself in the Italian league when he played for Modena (2013-14) and Molfetta (2014-15). He is an important player of the Slovenian national team led by coach Andrea Giani. They qualified for the coming European Championships and are now taking part in the European League. Before coming to Italy, in five years spent between Bled and Ljubljana, the 28-year-old won five league titles and five Slovenian cups, three central European championships, reached fourth place in the Champions League 2010 (beaten in the semi-finals by Trento), and third place in the CEV Cup 2012. At international level he won the bronze twice at the European League 2011 and 2014.
