Stefano Giannotti will play his sixth season for Padova. In his first season as a starter in the SuperLega, he scored a total of 381 points (27 blocks, 32 aces) making him the top scorer among Italian players. Besides, he was named the MVP for the month of February.
“I’m starting to be one of the older ones – he laughed – I feel good in this club and with my teammates. We have always managed to settle in fine with the newcomers, and I will have to help get everybody gel together, especially the young players. Making it hard for some stars I was watching on TV not so long ago was a great feeling and that was very positive for team like ours which is working with young players. What we can improve on is to be more united during the tough times, be more solid so as to lose the fewest points possible on the way”.
