The 31-year-old setter has played for 19 years at the highlest level, he won two league titles, 2 Italian cups, 2 Italian Super Cups as well as all three European Cups. Besides, he boasts 55 appearances with the Italian nationa team, his first cap came in June 2002 in a friendly won 3.2 against the United States. He won the silver medal at the European Championships 2011 and the bronze at the Olympic Games 2012 in London.
