A press conference took place to officially unveil Maarten Van Garderen as new Ravenna player as he arrived in town just a few days ago.
“I am thrilled to be here – said the Dutch spiker born in 1990 – I am proud to play in the Italian SuperLega and I want to prove that I am worthy of this prestigious competition. It’s been a rather strange summer for me, I finished the German league in great shape, but then two injuries have made things complicated, which is why I did not play much in the European Championships. But I am fine now, I am back to full fitness and I can’t wait to start playing. I trained with the other lads yesterday, it seems like a good group. Hopefully, I’ll be able to contribute and get better thanks to the help of coach Kantor”.
