Reggio’s second signing comes from Switzerland’s top division and is a setter. Born in 1992, Simone Bonante played last season at Biogas Näfels Volley, the most titled Helvetic team with which he also took part in a European cup, the CEV Cup. Before his spell in Switzerland, Bonante came up in the Roma youth ranks and then played in the B1 division in Cosenza.
“This is a privilege for me – said Bonante – Every time I played in this Emilia region, I’ve always felt the passion for volleyball. This is a great opportunity for me and I want to make the most of it. I have been training for a while already, I really want to be at my best when we start”.
