A press conference took place in the Congress center “Aduaworkspace” to unveil the new head coach, Camillo Placì. The native from Specchia, in the Apulia region, began his career in the A1 as Edelstein’s assistant in Ugento in 1985-86. In between many experiences in the first and second division, he also took charge of the Cuneo and Trento youth department. He won the Italian Cup 2006 at Cuneo as Prandi’s assistant, while he got the bronze medal at the World League and Beijing’s Olympic Games as Alekno’s assistant on the Russian bench. More bronze alongside coach Prandi with Bulgaria in the European Championships followed. Last season he coached in Qatar and is currently working with the Serbian national team alongside Nikola Grbic.
