A press conference took place to unveil Nikolay Pavlov and Simon Hirsch as new Latina players. “I am here a bit by chance – said outside hitter Pavlov – Two months ago I came to Rome and a friend told me I could have played in Latina. I talked to the Bulgarian coach Costantinov, he told me a lot of good things about the club and especially about coach Placì. So I thought why not. I am happy to wear this shirt. All the players in the world dream of playing in Italy, and that was my dream too”.
“I did well last season in Sora in the A2 and this year I was able to make the leap into the SuperLega – explained the other outside hitter Simon Hirsch – I don’t know how much I will play but I’ll certainly be able to learn a lot from the group, especially from Nikolay. I love it here, my teammates are fantastic, it’s great to be in Latina”.
