A derby win but a bitter one. Castellana Grotte came back from Matera with a 3-1 win, making it a double against Matera, but the results of the other courts have given the last playoffs spot to Reggio Emilia.
“We’ll finish the season in 9th place very close from the playoffs – said coach Fanizza – We’re not particularly disappointed, we have to be realistic and underline the fact that the group has objectively faced some problems that prevented it from going higher. I asked the boys to give everything in this end of season and they did it, they had a perfect game against a very strong opposition like Matera. Next week we’re up against the league leaders and I’m sure we’ll be able to have our say again”.
