Fanizza’s men failed to bring back its first win but took a point from the trip to Cantù in its second consecutive loss at the tie-break. They played with character against a Cantù team that has not lost home for over a year (October 26, round 2 of last season). Castellana Grotte proved it could hang on to a lead like in the second set and even come-back from a heavy deficit like in the fourth set.

“It’s a good point for us – said president Michele Miccolis – It’s never easy for anyone in this arena. We proved we could give it a fight, except for the fifth set in which we clearly faded. We haven’t been able to get our first victory but there were definitely some improvement”.
