Monza makes history with first cup qualification

Monza made history with the first ever qualification into the Italian Cup. Voconcio’s men will indeed be in the top 8 at the halfway point of the regular season regardless of what happens in the last game on Sunday. However, Sunday’s encounters will define the quarter-final match-ups. In the past five years the club has made strides forward coming up from the B1 division to the Serie A2, getting into an A2 cup final on the way before making the grade into the SuperLega. And in its second years in the elite, the club added one more successful chapter to its history. The quarter-final first leg will be on Tuesday 22 December.
