Milan brought in Roberto Rivan, a promising libero born in 1994 in Cuneo. Roberto played last season in the B1 division but already had an experience at the level above with Corigliano. In 2012, he took part in the European Championships juniors with Italy, helping the team win the gold medal and being elected best libero of the competition.
“I was delighted to receive the call from Milan – said Rivan – It took me no time to make my decision. This year will be different than the others because I will be the young guy of the group and this will be the first season in which I won’t be a starter. Still, I am happy and motivated because the coach expects a lot from his players and I will have the opportunity to improve a lot, probably more than in the past two years. Playing in Milan alongside experienced players like Sottile will give me great motivation to get better. I want to absorb everything I can whether I’m on court or not”.
